David Boros is a Cologne native who started as a SAP Logistics trainee at valantic in September 2021. Today, he is a junior consultant on the DSC (Digital Supply Chain) team, and he tells us why he recommends the valantic trainee program and what he particularly liked about it.

What did you study?

I studied Business Administration and Business Psychology with a Bachelor of Science degree from the FOM University in Cologne.

What were your reasons for choosing the trainee program at valantic?

The valantic trainee program not only addresses common and current SAP topics, it also introduces topics that are or may be forward-looking. I find that very exciting! It was also important to me that I could learn technical basics in addition to theory, for example in the programming language ABAP.

How would you describe the trainee program and valantic in 3 words?

Varied, interactive, challenging.

What did you like the best about the program?

The theory was always combined with subsequent practical exercises in the SAP system, often using SAP best practices. This way, I could put the material covered right into practice and eliminate possible ambiguities.

Why would you recommend the valantic trainee program?

In my opinion, as an SAP consultant, you need a solid knowledge base – by which I mean both basic process and technical knowledge. That’s exactly what you will learn as part of the trainee program. It is especially possible for lateral entrants like me to acquire lacking IT knowledge in a targeted manner.

And how did your career develop afterwards?

Since the end of the trainee program, I have been a junior consultant member of the DSC team.

Thank you for the interview, David!
