The added value of networked end-to-end processes with SAP S/4HANA is high in many areas: Real-time information and an easy search function regardless of format ensure quick results. The browser-based SAP Fiori user interface enables access to SAP from a variety of devices, including notebooks, tablets, and smartphones. Machine learning provides new, completely automated processes. What was previously spread across several systems now works directly in the standard system. Thanks to the HANA database, the memory requirement is reduced by up to 90% as compared to operation with an SAP R/3 or ECC system. SAP S/4HANA can also be operated in the cloud as Software as a Service (SaaS). In this variant as ERP complete solution with an extensive range of standard processes, there are no additional costs for maintenance and operation in the SAP S/4HANA cloud.

Transformation of old SAP systems to SAP S/4HANA

For the transformation to SAP S/4HANA, there are essentially three approaches: a complete new implementation (greenfileld), conversion of the existing SAP system (brownfield) or a transformation with a mix & match of greenfield and brownfield. Once the right approach has been selected, agile methods are especially appropriate for the implementation of SAP S/4HANA projects.

 

Agile project management with project simplification

valantic has developed project simplification for agile project management in clear partial steps especially for S/4HANA projects. Here, customers and valantic consultants can monitor project progress at all times and take measures to counteract possible fluctuations early on. A theoretical blueprint phase is no longer required. Instead, the project team works directly in the S/4HANA system even during the analysis phase. With the first release, there is a go-live with the most important basic processes.

Three of the really big processes in SAP are:

  • Procure-to-Pay or Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) maps goods procurement, goods receipt, receipt and payment of supplier invoices

  • Order-to-Cash (O2C or OTC) includes flows from the order to goods receipt and payment by the customer

SAP Commerce Cloud is a uniform, simple platform for all customers that reduces costs – on both sides: Purchasing and sales, modern and efficient product content management, omni-channel strategies, and direct integration into SAP ERP are persuasive advantages in a market on which products and services are becoming harder to distinguish from one another.

SAP Customer Data Cloud

Standing between the challenges of offering customers the best customer experience yet also guaranteeing the fulfillment of all regulatory and legal data protection provisions is frequently difficult. SAP Customer Data Cloud (CDC) offers the opportunity to increase customer and brand loyalty and create secure experiences across all channels at the same time. SAP Sales Cloud

SAP CPQ

SAP CPQ (formerly CallidusCloud) stands for Configure, Price and Quote. It is a solution that helps sales create effective quotations. With a “guided selling” approach, sales employees can find appropriate products for customers quickly and easily. Building on the SAP ERP variant configuration, salespeople have a tool that offers them the best possible assistance with quotation configuration. This way, they can create a valid quotation in the shortest possible time starting with a customer’s complex request for quotations.
