The online store developed by valantic contributes to this goal: With Shopware 6 in the backend, a user-centered UX design and intuitive functions, the scalable e-commerce solution meets mandana’s international focus as well as the requirements for a smooth customer experience (CX).

High-performance & scalable online shop
The new online shop is a digital storefront for mandana, supporting the company’s international orientation and long-term growth strategy. With Shopware 6 in the backend, the e-commerce system is highly scalable and adaptable for new business processes and future requirements.
Seamless expansion of new systems & sales channels
The open-source and API-first architecture of Shopware 6 simplifies the integration of third-party systems and plugins. Connections to additional sales channels such as social media and marketplaces are as easy to implement as extensions for new target markets.
Innovative features for tailored shopping experiences
Shopware 6 features enhance customer experience in various ways. With Shopping Experiences, custom content can be created with little effort and seamlessly integrated into the shopping environment, increasing engagement and the conversion rate. This feature contributes to a consistent brand presence and improves SEO performance.
Multilingual shop for international target markets
With the debut of the online shop, mandana achieves international reach and brand presence. By creating country versions in the Shopware 6 backend, the shop was set up in five languages. handling twelve currencies within a few weeks.

mandana: How luxury and sustainability go hand in hand
What is luxury? For premium jewelry manufacturer mandana, it means advocating for sustainability and social justice. With this idea, the brand was founded in 2021 and today, as the only company in Europe, offers handcrafted jewelry with lab diamonds from Germany. These are produced by the sister company Nevermined in its own factory in Essen. In their authenticity and quality, the lab-grown Diamonds (LGD) are in no way inferior to mined diamonds but are up to 70 percent cheaper and thus affordable for a larger target group. Since 2023, mandana and Nevermined have been DFB partners of the women’s team, jointly advocating for core values and breaking down prejudices: Excellent football and an elegant appearance are by no means mutually exclusive, just like luxury and sustainability.
The goal: A digital storefront for the rising B2C brand
After nearly two years of intensive research and continuous process optimization, mandana wanted to fulfill the vision of making ecologically and ethically produced jewelry accessible to a broad audience with its online shop. The goal was not only to make mandana known as a provider of sustainable premium jewelry on the domestic B2C market but also to create an international brand presence: Customers outside Germany should also be able to find, order, and purchase the right accessories easily and securely through a high-performing, scalable shop.
Moreover, mandana had a clear vision for the design of the online shop, which should correspond to the motto “Next Generation Jewellery for Next Generation Customers” both functionally and visually: User-friendly functions, intuitive navigation, and a tailored UX design should enable customers worldwide to have unique and smooth shopping experiences.
Shopware 6 as the basis for a dazzling online brand presence
In January 2023, it was time for consulting and selecting the appropriate e-commerce platform. With an eye on international orientation and growth strategy, mandana made an optimal choice with Shopware 6: With this high-performing, flexible solution, the jewelry provider has created a digital storefront that is accessible to visitors worldwide and easily scalable.
Shopware 6 offers a comprehensive range of plugins to extend the capabilities of the platform. In addition, the API-first approach allows for easy integration of third-party systems: New sales channels like social media and marketplaces can be easily connected. For smooth data exchange, the cloud-based product information system Contentserv was implemented. As the “Single Point of Truth,” the platform provides quick access to all relevant product data and simplifies the information exchange between the sister companies mandana and Nevermined.
Moreover, customizable features of Shopware 6 contribute to efficient processes and enable a personalized customer journey:
Simple adjustments for new channels & target markets
The Social Commerce feature makes it particularly easy to integrate new channels and sell through Instagram, Facebook, or Pinterest. This can additionally increase brand awareness and sales. Extensions for new target markets are also easily possible. To simplify the shopping process for customers outside Germany, IP localization has been set up. This automatically recognizes the country of the users and switches to the appropriate language and currency.
Personalized shopping experiences
In addition to the target group-oriented and brand-appropriate UX design, the Shopping Experience tool brings the products and brand into the spotlight. The Shopware 6 function allows individual layouts to be applied to multiple pages, thus simplifying the design of a distinctive, seamless brand presence. In addition, the shopping experience is personalized with the Extended Search feature based on customer queries. Despite the large amount of product data, desired information is thus quickly findable.
Automated business processes
The Rule Builder of Shopware 6 sets no limits to future business models and scaling projects in an international context. The tool allows custom workflows to be automated and the e-commerce ecosystem to be adapted to specific business requirements without extensive development work.
What's next?
From consulting to implementation and quality assurance, mandana relied on valantic’s many years of experience and broad expertise right from the start. Since the go-live in November 2023, the e-commerce system has been continuously developed in cooperation with valantic to make shopping even easier and more intuitive for international customers. To ensure seamless customer experiences in the future, further optimizations will be made gradually. Plans include a more uniform video implementation and an upgrade of the navigation: For example, individual campaigns, articles, and images should be displayed via a mega-menu, and content should also be able to be placed side by side, further improving user guidance.
