Migration

In information and network technology, migration refers to the incorporation of older technologies, services or data into newer or upgraded technologies with the extensive use of existing technologies, structures, and resources. Depending on the technological area, this can be a migration of computer technology, networks, services, protocols or data. The goal is to bring out-of-date systems up to date with modern components and to make flows more efficient. In the process, existing structures are used as much as possible. valantic migrates a lot of messaging and collaboration infrastructures, including HCL Notes (formerly IBM Notes).
