Munich/Porto/Lisbon, December 13, 2021: Digital consulting and software company valantic continues its expansion course and strengthens its SAP consulting expertise in a merger with Portuguese Abaco Consulting.
The consulting market for SAP-based business transformation is characterized by extremely high demand, which will continue or even increase in the following years. To be able to fulfill all of its customers’ needs and achieve its own growth ambitions, valantic is now joining forces with one of Portugal’s leading SAP Gold Partners, Abaco Consulting.
Abaco’s 150 experienced consultants excel in large swathes of the SAP portfolio and associated technology-driven business transformation across all business processes, including SAP S/4HANA Core, Finance, Purchasing, Logistics, Extended Warehouse Management and Manufacturing.
Both companies attach great importance to lasting relationships with its customers, offering them holistic support – from design and realization through to post-implementation application management (AMS). Abaco’s longstanding SAP Gold partnership and its extensive range of SAP solutions are a valuable addition to valantic’s SAP portfolio.
Customers benefit from enormous synergy potentials
Abaco and valantic are recognized for their technological excellence and in-depth industry knowledge and are excellently matched from a cultural standpoint. According to the Lünendonk Ranking 2021, valantic has risen to become one of the leading medium-sized digital solutions providers in just a few years. With its 2,000+ IT consultants, the company offers consulting and implementation services in the areas of digitization consulting and business analytics, customer experience management (CX), supply chain management & logistics, Next Generation Enterprise Resource Planning and financial services automation.
The services that valantic provides in the enterprise resource planning and SAP services environments also make a significant contribution, which will now be further strengthened by the merger with Abaco. Other valantic strengths include asset-based consulting (i.e., the product business with SAP add-ons) and SAP-based in-house developments. This portfolio will now be complemented by Abaco’s expertise and consulting services. In contrast to many other consulting firms on the market, this practically unique range of services positions valantic to successfully implement holistic digitization projects end-to-end for its customers.
Abaco Consulting CEO, João Moreira: “Abaco will benefit from international investment through the valantic Group and in future be able to provide services for SAP customers across Europe as an SAP partner from Portugal. With around 2,000 employees at more than 35 locations, valantic stands for strong growth and will thus be able to create and secure jobs in Portugal in the future. We’re proud to be part of this compelling group of companies.”
In addition to his role as Abaco Consulting CEO, João Moreira will become a new partner of valantic. Furthermore, Abaco’s entire management team, which is Nuno Figueiredo (CSO) and José Chéu (COO), will be staying in their current roles.
valantic Partner and Managing Director, Karsten Ötschmann, also responsible for the strategic development of the SAP Services division within the company says: “I’m delighted that, with the addition of Abaco, its outstanding management team and fantastic employees, we’re taking a significant step forward in our European expansion. It also enables us to further strengthen larger SAP-based business transformation projects and post-implementation application management services (AMS) with international teams of experts. For our valantic employees, this merger also offers the great opportunity to complete their professional training at both SAP Academy locations in Germany as well as in Portugal.”
“We’re very happy to have onboarded Abaco Consulting in Portugal – a highly competent new partner in the SAP environment that offers our own level of quality and expertise in SAP consulting and will strengthen us in future projects. I firmly believe our regional, and multinational large and medium-sized customers will only benefit from the merger with Abaco,” explains valantic CEO and Partner, Dr. Holger von Daniels.
