On behalf of Andermatt Service AG, part of the Andermatt Group AG, valantic has redesigned the e-commerce portals for Andermatt Biogarten AG, Andermatt Biovet AG and Andermatt Biocontrol AG. The new platform is based on centralized data management, a consistent product journey and an improved customer experience – built on Pimcore technology. Andermatt Service AG acted as a coordinator between valantic and the other companies.

One system that does it all
The challenge was to create a future-proof platform for three companies. The aim was to meet growing customer requirements and enable a consistent product journey that manages data efficiently and centrally.

Tailor-made for Andermatt
At the beginning, Andermatt’s requirements were analyzed in detail, optimized and checked for feasibility. The focus was on an efficient solution with an improved user experience (UX). A key part was advising on the selection of the right technologies and seamless integration into the existing ERP system.

Central, efficient, customer-oriented
With one Pimcore instance, the three Andermatt Group companies now operate five B2C and one B2B portals on a central platform. The platform meets growing customer requirements, enables a consistent product journey and enhances the customer experience through to ERP integration.
Andermatt Service AG is a service company, particularly in the ICT sector, for Andermatt Biogarten AG, Andermatt Biovet AG and Andermatt Biocontrol AG – and part of Andermatt Group AG, a pioneer in biological pest control and sustainable plant protection. The vision of Andermatt Group AG is to replace synthetic chemical pesticides in food production with effective biological alternatives.
With production and distribution companies on four continents and an international partner network, Andermatt Group AG supports farmers in over 60 countries. The aim is to grow high-quality and healthier crops with reduced use of chemicals.
Its success is based on a dedicated team of global experts who are passionate about making a sustainable change in food cultivation.

Andermatt had a clear goal in mind: to replace the existing platform with a modern, future-proof solution. The focus was on the central management of product information, the preparation of content for different target groups and its consistent provision across all channels.
The focus was on creating a seamless customer experience that strengthens trust and retains customers in the long term. The new platform was designed to not only meets current requirements, but is also flexible enough to support future developments.
In close collaboration between Andermatt and valantic, a customized solution was created based on Pimcore technology. This combines product information management (PIM), digital asset management (DAM) and content management (CMS) into one powerful unit. Supplemented by a framework for product experience management (PXM), the platform enables the consistent and appealing presentation of all product information across different channels. Through integration with the ERP system, it also ensures optimum efficiency.

Challenges analyzed and requirements optimized
At the beginning, Andermatt’s requirements were analyzed in detail and critically reviewed. The aim was to develop a solution that could be implemented efficiently and at the same time deliver a first-class user experience (UX).
Usability and conversion optimization
The focus was on usability and optimizing the conversion rate. A well-thought-out, modern design and intuitive user experience not only made the platform easier to use, but also more effective.
Technology consulting and integration of existing systems
Another key focus was technology consulting: valantic supported Andermatt in selecting the right technologies and integrating them into the existing ERP system. This resulted in a future-proof solution that integrates seamlessly with the existing infrastructure.
Concepts for legal entities and domains
Another highlight of the project was the development of a scalable concept that significantly simplifies the administration of various legal entities and domains. This concept makes it possible to manage future requirements flexibly and efficiently.
Following the successful and on-time go-live of the minimum viable product (MVP) – the first version of the new e-commerce platform – the collaboration continued seamlessly. In monthly sprints, valantic develops new features together with Andermatt and continuously optimizes the platform to meet growing customer requirements.
