Extensive range of courses

With over 20,000  courses available, finding just the right offer that perfectly matches your needs and wishes is one of our most important concerns.

Four possibilities are described below for finding your way through the extensive range of courses available in the vLearning Hub:

Extensive range of courses

With over 20,000  courses available, finding just the right offer that perfectly matches your needs and wishes is one of our most important concerns.

Four possibilities are described below for finding your way through the extensive range of courses available in the vLearning Hub:

  1. Own initiative = search through the catalog: With several thousand employees at numerous CCs and locations, it is impossible for the vLearning Hub team to make individual, bespoke suggestions; we simply lack the necessary information on skill levels, learning status and requirements, and this information is not maintained by the CCs in the master data.Rather, our task is to:
    1. create a comprehensible catalog system in which employees can find their further development topics
    2. enable an evaluation of the more than 20,000 learning elements (5-star system) so that employees can benefit from other colleagues’ experiences
    3. use role-based learning journeys to show which skills are required for a specific valantic role at the Starter / Intermediate / Advanced level and which learning content / training can be used to close one’s own skills gap.
  2. “My Learning Assignments”: Essential and mandatory courses are assigned in this area to show users which learning units must be completed under all circumstances (e.g. data protection training, training course).
  3. Featured: Each week, our content curator, Anne, posts special highlights that she recommends in this section
  4. Recommended: Employees can find personal recommendations from supervisors and colleagues in this area. Ideally, supervisors support their employees’ further development after an staff performance review by providing them with recommendations.

The analysis for deciding on which training actually furthers an employee’s personal development can only be made by the employees themselves, together with their supervisor and the People Developer of the respective CC, since these are the only persons with the necessary information for this decision.

The valantic Learning Journey

Learning journeys are learning paths that are tailored to the needs of specific roles (e.g. Junior Consultant) and help quickly build up one’s own know-how. The learning journeys can be accessed and used by everyone. Participation in payable training must be authorized beforehand by the person’s supervisor using the approval process described above.

An example of a learning journey could be:

valantic Learning Hub Learning Journey

Learning journey based on the example: SAP Consultant Record to Report Junior (Starter)

The SAP division has divided its work areas into various communities. The various communities can be found via the categories, and the appropriate level can then be selected. One of these is “Record to Report”. These communities define the subject-matter development path for the associated employees.

The SAP division has defined three development levels: Junior = Starter / Intermediate / Senior = Advanced.

  1. Employees know their specialist area = Community
  2. Employees know their skills level

You call up the catalog in this order and, in our example, a category is found for SAP Consultant Record to Report Junior. All the key learning content recommended for further development in this role can be found in this area.

The learning goals that should have been achieved in this role at this level have been determined by the SAP division’s Community Experts and People & Culture Developer. The vLearning Hub team has identified the learning content and training measures and prepared them didactically in such a way that their use is conducive to achieving the learning objectives.
