What is Supply Chain Management with SAP SCM?

SAP’s product portfolio for the digital supply chain includes two standalone solutions:

  1. SAP SCM itself connects systems, people, and processes with a seamless digital thread that enables companies to accelerate their innovations. This allows for the creation of agile, market-oriented, and transparent plans, thereby streamlining production. Fast, efficient, and sustainable logistics and supply chain processes ideally already incorporate artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT), and enterprise-wide integration. This enhances the performance and reliability of facilities through intelligent facility management software and ensures budgets are utilized more efficiently.
  2. SAP Supply Chain Logistics, in turn, consists of four sub-groups and enables fast, responsive, and agile management of supply chain logistics. Real-time insights into the supply chain—which allow bottlenecks to be identified quickly and easily and help minimize associated risks as soon as they arise—are possible with SAP’s on-premise and cloud-based logistics management systems.
