Supply Chain Excellence Day at Herrenknecht AG
April 28/29, 2026 in Schwanau
The next Supply Chain Excellence Day will take place at Herrenknecht AG in Schwanau. The focus will be on exchanging experiences with the APS software waySuite and its role in optimizing complex supply chain processes. A factory tour will also provide the opportunity to gain deeper insights into the production workflows and technologies of the world’s leading manufacturer of tunnel boring machines.

Twice a year, we invite customers and prospects to the Supply Chain Excellence Day. This time, we are pleased to welcome you to Herrenknecht AG, which has successfully optimized its production and project planning processes with waySuite. Look forward to practical insights into the successful collaboration and the results achieved. Engaging presentations and exchanges with SCM experts guarantee valuable ideas and insights into Supply Chain Excellence.
The event is aimed at our waySuite customer companies and prospects who want to learn more about valantic and our planning software offerings.
Focus: Practical reports from the SCM of our waySuite customers and factory tour at Herrenknecht
The Supply Chain Excellence Day for prospects will take place on April 28, running parallel to the wayUser Meeting (April 28–29). It offers a comprehensive platform for exchanging ideas with other companies and consultants, discussing, developing, and shaping processes in the spirit of continuous improvement.
In addition to presentations by our reference customer Herrenknecht, a factory tour is planned for the afternoon, providing insights into the production processes and technologies of the world’s leading manufacturer of tunnel boring machines.

Herrenknecht AG is the only company in the world to supply tunnel boring machines for all geologies and diameters – ranging from 0.10 to 19 meters. The product portfolio includes customized machines for traffic tunnels and utility tunnels, technologies for pipeline installation, as well as additional equipment and service packages. Herrenknecht also manufactures drilling rigs for vertical and inclined shafts, as well as deep drilling rigs.
In 2024, the Herrenknecht Group achieved a total performance of €1.394 billion. The independent family-owned company employs around 5,400 people worldwide, including approximately 200 trainees. With over 60 subsidiaries and affiliated companies in Germany and abroad, Herrenknecht is able to provide comprehensive and targeted services close to the project and the customer at any time.

Introduction of the waySuite at Herrenknecht
Herrenknecht successfully utilized the implementation of valantic’s APS waySuite to improve its project and production planning processes. The initial goal of the project was to optimize existing processes at the Schwanau and Kehl plants and establish an integrated supply chain management solution, which was subsequently rolled out at the site in China.
With the waySuite, including the modules wayRTS, wayPRO, wayCloud Platform, and wayWFM, Herrenknecht implemented a comprehensive solution that provides transparency across the entire value creation process, enables real-time scenarios, and enhances collaboration among all stakeholders. Delivery capability, delivery reliability, and planning flexibility were sustainably improved.
The project represents an important step for Herrenknecht to respond more quickly and effectively to changing market conditions.
