Replatforming at the highest level of complexity

GGM Gastro: Successful migration from Adobe Commerce to Magento Open Source

valantic migrated the international Adobe Commerce platform to Magento Open Source for GGM Gastro, one of Europe’s largest food service providers. Despite the high level of complexity due to over 30 countries, SAP connection, Akeneo PIM, Algolia search and multi-source inventory, a high-performance, secure and scalable solution was created – the company’s central sales channel now runs license-free and future-proof.

The challenge

GGM Gastro’s international commerce platform with over 30 country instances, complex tax and shipping logic as well as SAP, Akeneo and Algolia integration was to be migrated from Adobe Commerce to Magento Open Source – without any loss of functionality or downtime.

Consulting approach

valantic developed a customized migration concept for the headless architecture, transferred all integrations and implemented a secure, scalable zero-downtime deployment architecture for maximum performance and stability.

Customer benefits and solution

The result is a stable, high-performance platform with complete infrastructure sovereignty, reduced operating costs, international scalability and maximum technical flexibility.
