Impact, not just influence.

What exactly does your Motto “Impact, not just influence.” mean?

Influence is being heard; impact is seeing the thing actually built. What I care about is the point where ideas turn into reality: an idea raised in a meeting that becomes a real product, in production, working for clients. Being part of the conversation matters, but only if it leads to something real.

What are you focusing on at valantic?

I have two jobs that belong together. As COO, I’m scaling a historically grown operations landscape – cleaner processes, better data, more automation – so we can grow without operations becoming the bottleneck. As Chief Innovation Officer, I own the new product process: products and operations have to be designed together.  Right now, that means building foundations to enable us to turn our clients’ needs into scalable products for the industry.

What did you do before joining valantic?

I spent two decades at Deutsche Börse Group, in product development, business development and index products at STOXX, and later building the group’s data science and AI unit, where I spent five years creating “AI readiness”: data lakes, data governance and process automation. After a stint at a smaller Fintech in the index world, I founded my own wealth management start-up. One lesson stuck: highly productized businesses scale.
