RSH stands for “Resource Scheduling in SAP S/4HANA,” so the H stands for S/4HANA.
A clear yes and no. RSH can be considered a successor solution. However, the range of functions and the implementation effort differ fundamentally. MRS was a very complex solution that was highly modifiable, while RSH is significantly simplified and can be used without any development effort.
Orders and processes can overlap in principle. I think you are referring to the overlap of activities assigned to an employee. When assigning the employee, the system already displays a graphic representation of the overlap. However, the system still allows this. It is not possible to prevent scheduling without further ado.
Yes, external service providers can also be created as resources and scheduled.
In RSH, I can assign tasks to specific individuals. Individuals are in turn assigned to teams (“Manage teams and responsibilities F4988”). However, planning is always done at the order and task level, and certain individuals are assigned to these.

This is provided by SAP and can be expanded with your own rules, but the basis is provided by SAP.
With Customer Self Service, an order is created directly. A message can also be created for this purpose.
The order is based on information from Self Service. Scanning a QR code on the equipment, description, date, etc., and a few default values in Customizing.
SAP FSM can also be used for in-house maintenance when planning for individuals. When planning for workstations, RSH is preferable. In addition, FSM offers a mobile offline solution alongside Asset Manager.
The rules can be expanded with additional fields and checks can also be integrated. Each individual rule must be checked specifically. In practice, it has been found that the conceptual structure of the different rules is the first hurdle. Exceptions are also difficult to handle.
