Munich, 04.09.2025: valantic, an experienced implementation partner for Ivalua and a leading provider of process and IT consulting services, has developed the innovative valantic SAP Connector, significantly simplifying the integration of the E-procurement platform Ivalua with SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA. The interface technology previously available based on the SAP standard IDoc often proves to be too rigid and costly to adapt in practice. With the interface developed by valantic, “APICONNECT System Integration Purchase 1.0”, the bidirectional connection between Ivalua and SAP can now be implemented within a day. The add-on can be used via the S4/HANA Private Cloud and is available in the Ivalua Add-on Store.

The valantic SAP Connector enables bidirectional integration between the E-procurement platform Ivalua and the ERP systems SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA. Its goal is to ensure seamless collaboration between these systems through two integration scenarios:

• Forward Integration: Transferring data from SAP to Ivalua
• Backward Integration: Transferring data from Ivalua to SAP

This is the only SAP-certified interface of its kind. Using the SAP Connector increases procurement efficiency, reduces implementation effort, and enables seamless linking of the source-to-contract (S2C) and procure-to-pay (P2P) processes, optimizing workflows and improving overall process quality. This results in optimized workflows and enhanced overall process quality. A major advantage of the bidirectional “S/4HANA-ready” interface is its ease of customization, enabling users to add additional data fields and information as needed. Two major clients, a leading mobility service provider and an energy supplier, are already successfully using this add-on.

Efficiency through Innovative Interface Technology

The development of the Ivalua-SAP interface is based on valantic’s extensive experience in process optimization and the creation of innovative software solutions such as the APS standard software waySuite. This expertise enables valantic to implement complex, tailored, and future-ready enhancements to the E-procurement platform.

“Programming and configuring interfaces is part of our daily work,” says Stefan Drews, Senior SAP Architect at valantic. “We could have implemented the interface using IDoc in the traditional way, but we deliberately chose OData and REST because these technologies offer significantly greater adaptability and future-proofing. For SAP certification, the developers collaborated with their interface partner, APICON GmbH.
