Munich/Frankfurt, 22 August 2019: Jörg Wassink (48) has been Head of the Shared Service Center Marketing since 01 August 2019 and is responsible for the marketing and communication activities of the IT consulting and software company valantic. In this newly created position, the experienced communications manager, who has been active in leading PR and marketing positions in the IT and telecommunications industry for around 20 years, will focus primarily on brand management and the digital further development of valantic marketing.
With around 850 employees and a turnover of over 130 million Euros, valantic is one of the fastest growing IT consulting and services companies in Europe and, according to market research firm Lünendonk, is one of the top 10 medium-sized German consulting firms. In line with this rapid growth since its foundation in 2013, valantic will now also significantly accelerate its marketing activities by creating a central marketing management and focus above all on the expansion of brand awareness and the further development of digital campaign management.

For the past two years, Wassink has been Head of Marketing and responsible for the worldwide development of the communication activities of the telecommunications alliance ngena. Prior to that, he was Head of Communications and press spokesman for the Sage Group’s media and public relations activities in Central Europe and, as Director Internal & External Communications, was responsible for press relations at the pan-European telecommunications provider COLT Telecom. The philosopher and humanities scholar began his career as a journalist for the IT business magazine iCONOMY and PR consultant at the agency denkfabrik (Hürth).
