Munich / Düsseldorf, August 1, 2023: Transparent, intelligent, sustainable and cost-optimized – all are imperative for the supply chain and purchasing processes of the future. With the expertise of its new family member HÖVELER HOLZMANN, the digital consulting, solutions and software company valantic can now help its corporate customers even better to optimize their supply chains and purchasing processes and achieve their sustainability goals. HÖVELER HOLZMANN brings many years of project experience at companies ranging from medium-sized businesses to DAX corporations. Customers of the Düsseldorf-based consultancy include prominent organizations such as Deutsche Bahn AG, LANXESS, Covestro, Intersnack, coop, ADAC, dpd and Rotkäppchen Mumm.
The digital consulting, solutions and software company valantic is strengthening its positioning in the future-oriented field of sustainable supply chain and purchasing optimization. With the management consultancy HÖVELER HOLZMANN, the valantic family has now gained an experienced interdisciplinary team of 100 experts who specialize in sustainably improving their customers’ value chains. In doing so, they focus on strategic consulting to optimize the organization, process and system landscapes, as well as the cost structures of their customers – from inbound order handling, and the purchasing, production and logistics processes to invoicing.
This service portfolio has been a key factor in HÖVELER HOLZMANN’s many years of success, since demand for consulting in these areas is high: In recent years, the regulatory and macroeconomic demands on supply chain management and purchasing have soared for many businesses in terms of e.g. CO2 emissions, supply chain transparency and resilience, and growing cost pressure from rising raw material prices. A resilient and sustainable supply chain is thus becoming a key criterion for success for many businesses.
At the same time, demand is rising for a fully integrated portfolio that not only includes strategic consulting but also the implementation of bespoke technologies as well as change management and ongoing optimization. With HÖVELER HOLZMANN’s outstanding management consulting expertise, valantic is complementing its implementation services in the area of supply chain management and procurement with technologies such as SAP, Anaplan, Ivalua, waySuite, Tagetic and o9. From now on, customers can rely on a team of over 300 specialists for their supply chain and procurement projects.
HÖVELER HOLZMANN serves a broad spectrum of customers, ranging from medium-sized companies to DAX corporations. In doing so, the consultancy uses its highly diversified industry expertise to cover a large number of industries and market segments. At Swiss retail group Coop, for example, it helped identify cost-cutting opportunities by optimizing the purchasing of selected product groups. For Deutsche Bahn AG, on the other hand, it sustainably optimized processes by industrializing and digitalizing the purchasing department, thereby boosting working efficiency. And at Rotkäppchen-Mumm, it implemented a new supply chain organization and introduced organizational processes to further develop the sparkling wine maker’s supply chain management and to boost profitability.
HÖVELER HOLZMANN was founded by Dr. Bernhard Höveler and Florian Holzmann back in 2011. Already then, they looked back on a long and experienced track record in the fields of supply chain management and purchasing, and have been acting as Managing Partners ever since. Before founding the company, Dr. Bernhard Höveler was a managing partner of a purchasing consultancy and project manager for procurement optimization at consultancy A.T. Kearney. Florian Holzmann came from IBM Global Business Services, where he gained extensive expertise in the fields of Strategy & Change and Extended Supply Chain Management. Also on the HÖVELER HOLZMANN Management Board is Daniel Belka, who previously worked as Head of Procurement at Metro Group, as well as at REWE Group and Lidl.
“Digitalizing supply chain and purchasing processes lets businesses exploit further optimization potential and helps them build sustainable, agile and resilient supply chains,” says Martin Hofer, valantic Partner and Managing Director of valantic Supply Chain Excellence. “I’m delighted that, with HÖVELER HOLZMANN, we’ve gained a team of management consultants who have a proven track record for these pressing topics of the future, and who share our cultural values and identify with our ambitious goals.”
Dr. Bernhard Höveler, Managing Director and Managing Partner of HÖVELER HOLZMANN, adds: “valantic’s global network and comprehensive service portfolio position us to offer our customers holistic support; we can now assist them internationally in their projects for optimizing and transforming their supply chain management and purchasing activities. Joining valantic also opens up new career opportunities for our employees and the teams benefit from cross-company knowledge transfer.”
