What is data science?

Data science refers to the extraction of knowledge from data. Data science is an interdisciplinary field that employs scientifically sound methods, processes, algorithms, and systems to extract insights, patterns, and conclusions from both structured and unstructured data.

Data science generates information from large volumes of data to derive actionable recommendations for corporate management.
