What is a Content Delivery Network (CDN)?

A content delivery network (CDN) is an international network of data centers.

This network makes it possible to deploy or develop applications or websites around the world. In addition, the Content Delivery Network (CDN) enables end users to connect to the server best suited for delivering the content.

One of the goals of a CDN is to prevent the origin server from becoming overloaded, distribute traffic, and thereby reduce the time it takes to fulfill content requests.
