The project

COMPO Consulting approach

The challenge

COMPO’s procurement volume was fragmented, which led to a large number of suppliers and inefficient procurement processes. This made the strategic management of procurement more difficult and prevented the optimal use of price and process cost effects. The aim was to consolidate the procurement volume, identify cost levers and enable sustainable optimization of the procurement organization.

Consulting approach

  1. Comprehensive analysis of the procurement volume
    • Execution of internal and external benchmarks to identify savings potentials
    • Application of price and volume levers to analyze and estimate potential optimizations
  2. Implementation of savings potential
    • Strategic optimization of both direct and indirect spend categories.
    • Development and implementation of sourcing strategies for each category.

Solution & results in detail

The systematic optimization process enabled COMPO to achieve substantial savings in the seven-figure range. The targeted bundling of the procurement volume, the improvement of conditions and the optimization of specifications and requirements planning led to sustainable cost savings. At the same time, the procurement organization was further developed and strategically positioned through close cooperation with valantic’s experts.

The collaboration with valantic enabled a significant reduction in procurement costs. Tailor-made procurement strategies and a clear focus on increasing efficiency led to sustainable economic benefits.
