MEDICE is an owner-managed family business based in Iserlohn and is one of Germany’s most traditional pharmaceutical manufacturers. Today, with its MEDICE Health Family, the company is driving the transformation from a traditional pharmaceutical manufacturer to a digital healthcare provider – with the aim of connecting doctors, pharmacies, and patients through innovative products, data-driven services, and digital healthcare solutions.
Through the consistent expansion of its digital infrastructure, MEDICE is creating the basis for modern, patient-centered communication and combining medical expertise with technological excellence.
For over 20 years, MEDICE has been using CRM systems to continuously improve dialogue with healthcare professionals (HCPs). However, the previous system landscape consisting of IQVIA OCE and Salesforce Service Cloud was no longer able to fully meet the growing demands of cross-channel communication and data integration.
The goal: an integrated platform that connects B2B and B2C processes, enables legally compliant communication, and creates a 360° view of physicians, pharmacies, and patients – as the foundation for data-driven, empathetic customer experiences.
Together with valantic, MEDICE developed a future-proof omni-channel architecture based on the Salesforce platform. The integration of Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Loyalty Cloud, and Service Cloud forms the basis for the introduction of Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud in 2026.
This platform combines data, processes, and communication channels in a central environment and connects teams from marketing, sales, customer service, and medical affairs. Automated campaigns, standardized consent structures, and a loyalty program now enable HCPs and patients to be addressed in a targeted and legally compliant manner.
valantic accompanied MEDICE throughout the entire transformation process – from strategy development and technical implementation to change management. Thanks to an iterative approach and close cooperation with the specialist departments, new functions are quickly validated and integrated.
With the networked Salesforce platform, MEDICE is able to connect data, campaigns, and services across all channels. This not only strengthens internal collaboration, but also improves the quality and speed of communication with doctors and patients.
The planned introduction of Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud and Agentforce (Agentic AI) will further revolutionize the pharmaceutical sales force—through AI-powered assistance systems that significantly increase efficiency and the quality of consulting.
