The Challenge in Detail:

A voice service provider aimed to expand its capacities by integrating an external AI algorithm with its own AI-powered system. However, an AI-2-AI integration like this can present several challenges, such as the overlap between the two systems. To identify these challenges early and develop solutions, valantic was tasked with conducting thorough integration tests.

Consulting Approach:

The aim was to integrate the two AI algorithms in such a way that they work together efficiently. To achieve this, the voice chain had to be extensively tested end-to-end in order to continuously improve the integration. valantic drew up a roadmap for this project:

  1. Planning the integration
    Different integration options were evaluated and assessed according to effort, complexity and expected customer experience.
  2. Development of a testing infrastructure
    An end-to-end testing infrastructure was developed in order to be able to comprehensively test the behavior of both AI software tools during and after the integration.
  3. Ongoing optimization
    The test phase was used to identify challenges and make optimizations. These in turn had to be tested.
  4. AI-2-AI integration
    After the successful test phase, the integration of the two language processing algorithms was implemented.

With the help of the testing environment, the AI-2-AI integration could be carried out step by step under continuous monitoring. Change requests were derived and prioritized based on measurements and the defined target values.
