Relaunch of a custom-built system – technical, strategic, visionary

System relaunch with foresight for bösch

Over the course of ten years, Bösch developed a highly customized system. valantic transformed it into a future-ready platform – featuring a new UX, cutting-edge technology, and an architecture that seamlessly combines B2C and B2B. The result: a strong foundation for continued growth and a platform that truly convinces users.

The challenge.

Complex systems made simple.

Not replacing what works, but making it smarter: a system upgrade with a focus on the future, users, and stability.

valantic faced a complex challenge: an established system that had proven itself over many years needed to be transformed into a modern, future-ready platform – without disruption, yet with clear functional advances. The goal was to preserve existing user acceptance, bring the technology up to date, and create the foundation for future growth with an integrated One platform. This also included consolidating the existing system landscape: boesch.at in multiple language versions and MyBoesch were merged into a unified platform structure. The result is a single, central access point that strengthens the main site and noticeably simplifies user navigation.

Tailored. Scalable. Future-proof.

The solution.

valantic kicked off the project in 2022 with an intensive workshop phase together with Bösch employees and key users. Based on these insights, a central platform was built that brings together content, processes, and user groups – modernized, structured, and expanded.

Previously separate systems were technically merged and strategically embedded into a central platform logic. Existing user accounts, including permissions, were retained, while a clear redirect logic eased the transition. The system was enhanced with a shared product overview for B2B and B2C, a flexible CMS, and a central cockpit for employees and customers.

The project was technically implemented with Pimcore 11, including new templating, complete code refactoring, and clean tenant separation. The result: a robust solution that runs reliably, can be flexibly extended, continues existing processes, and remains sustainable in the long term.

User-centered. Future-focused. Systemically unified.

The highlight.

The new system is more than a relaunch – it is a milestone in Bösch’s digital evolution:

  • One platform for B2B and B2C with role-based access and central control
  • optimized product structure with targeted presentation for all audiences
  • customized cockpit for employees and customers
  • offline data finder with automatic synchronization – even without a connection
  • seamless migration of existing user accounts and content
  • tight integration with existing business processes

What makes this project special: A custom-developed platform that brings together a wide range of user requirements, maps processes seamlessly, and sets new standards in digital commerce.

From an existing solution to a digital ecosystem

The collaboration.

The entire collaboration was defined by close alignment with Bösch – driven by clear responsibilities, open communication, and focused execution. After the design phase began in 2023, the existing system was taken to the next technical level, rethought from a UX perspective, and functionally expanded. Product data management and Web2Print delivery were implemented on schedule as core project components, while key users were trained in a targeted manner and integrated into the new system in parallel.

One platform. Many possibilities.

The goal.

The objective was to build a central platform that brings together existing commerce and content processes – clearly structured, easy to maintain, and flexibly expandable. valantic Austria designed a scalable solution with clear role and permission management and a user-oriented interface. The result is a digital foundation that reliably supports product communication, ordering processes, and system extensions, while also creating room for scalability.

At the core was Bösch’s digital future readiness – with strong growth potential and a clear connection to existing strengths and customer relationships.

Technically strong. Built to last.

The results.

Not an off-the-shelf replatforming, but a tailored solution with sustainable impact:

  • significant UX improvements
