About the company

euromaster_logo

With over 300 service centers in Germany and 2,300 locations throughout Europe, Euromaster is one of the leading automotive workshop chains. Together with valantic, the procurement processes and conditions were comprehensively revised. The aim was to reduce the number of suppliers, standardize processes and achieve significant savings – both in the central areas and in the branches.

The project

The challenge

Euromaster’s existing procurement organization was characterized by a large number of suppliers and processes that were not standardized across the board. The aim was to optimize procurement processes such as allocation, supplier management and order management at both head office and store level – and at the same time achieve significant savings in central product groups.

Consulting approach

1. Analysis of procurement processes and requirements

  • Recording of existing processes at head office and branches through interviews and on-site inspections
  • Evaluation of operational requirements and identification of optimization potentials

2. Improvement of procurement conditions

  • Carrying out comprehensive market analysis and tenders in prioritized product groups
  • Negotiating with relevant suppliers (including Trost, Stahlgruber/PV)

3. Consolidation and implementation

  • Bundling of volumes and reduction in the number of suppliers by over 25%
  • Implementation of optimized processes to increase efficiency in day-to-day business

Optimized processes and a targeted selection of suppliers led to noticeable efficiency gains in procurement. Significant savings were achieved in key product groups such as wear parts, lubricants, facility management and workwear. Reducing the number of suppliers by more than 25 percent also made management easier and increased process quality.

Conclusion

With valantic, Euromaster has strategically realigned its procurement. The realignment not only improves structures, but also ensures long-term efficiency and performance in procurement.
