Conditions of participation

The Participation in the prize competition of valantic Business Analytics GmbH, hereinafter referred to as the operator or organizer, is governed exclusively by these conditions of participation.

Prize Competition

This is a prize competition in which the decision on winning or losing depends primarily on chance and not significantly on the skills, knowledge or attentiveness of the participants.

To participate in the competition, no stake is required .

Process of the competition

The duration of the prize competition extends at January, 29th 2026 from 6 pm to 8:30 pm. During this period, competes will have the opportunity to take part in the prize competition. The draw will take place on the same evening. The winner will be informed by the organizer on site or via e-mail.

Participation

Natural persons who have reached the age of 18 and are resident in Germany are eligible to participate. Participation is limited to visitors of the Databricks Usergroup in Hamburg and is not dependent on the purchase of goods or services.

All persons involved in the Conception and implementation of the prize competition and employees of the organizer and their family members are not eligible to participate in the prize competition. In addition, the organizer reserves the right, at its own discretion, to exclude persons from participation if there are justified reasons, for example (a) in the event of manipulation in connection with access to or implementation of the prize competition, (b) in the event of breaches of these conditions of participation, (c) in the event of unfair acting or (d) in the event of false or misleading information in connection with participation in the prize competition.

Participation in the prize competition takes place by filling out a form at the Databricks Usergroup The competition requires the completion of the contact details, so that only those who have entered their contact details correctly and completely can participate. To take part in the prize competition, it is necessary to fill in and send the contact form.

It is prohibited to use multiple accounts to increase your chances of winning.

Participation is only possible within the participation period. Entries received after the closing date will not be considered in the draw

Prize, Notification and Transmission of the Prizes

The winners will be determined on January 29th 2026 at about 9 pm in a random draw among all eligible participants.

The winners of the prize draw will be informed promptly in person or via a separate email. If the winner does not respond after two requests within a period of one week from the first notification, the prize may be transferred to another participant.

The prize cannot be exchanged or paid out in cash.

Termination of the Prize Competition

The organizer expressly reserves the right to terminate the prize competition without prior notice and without giving reasons. This applies in particular to any reasons that would disrupt or prevent the prize competition from its planned course.

Liability

Claims for damages against the organizer in connection with the prize competition are excluded, regardless of the legal reasons, unless the organizer has intentionally or grossly negligently violated legal obligations.

The risk is transferred to the winner when the prize is handed over. The organizer assumes no responsibility or guarantee for the functionality of the prize awarded or for any damage that may arise from its use.

Data policy

Personal data must be provided in order to take part in the prize competition. The participant assures that the personal details provided by him/her, in particular first name, surname and e-mail address, are true and correct.

Furthermore, no the winner’s name will not be published in complete – for example in subsequent marketing and communication activities by the organizer – without the participant’s express consent. The participant can revoke his/her declared consent at any time. The revocation must be sent in writing to the contact details provided by the organizer. Once the consent has been withdrawn, the participant’s personal data that has been collected and saved will be deleted immediately.

Applicable law

Questions or complaints in connection with the prize competition should be addressed to the organizer. The contact details can be found in the privacy policy.

The organizer’s prize competition is subject exclusively to the law of the Federal Republic of Germany. Legal process is excluded.

Severability

Should any provision of these Terms and Conditions of Participation be or become invalid in whole or in part, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of these Terms and Conditions of Participation. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a legally permissible provision that comes as close as possible to the economic intent and purpose of the invalid provision. The same applies in the event of a Regulatory gap in these conditions of participation.
