Update – 20th of March 2020: We are sorry to announce, that due to Covid-19 crisis, valantic had to postpone visiondays 2020 to January, 18th-19th 2021 in Hamburg. All tickets for the 2020 event will be valid in 2021 as well.
It’s time once again on March 25 and 26, 2020! That’s when valantic invites you to the 30th edition of its annual digital congress, visiondays 2020. According to the motto “inspire your future,” more than 200 participants from industrial and medium-sized companies will make their way to Hamburg and spend two days gathering information from leading digital experts about the latest IT trends.
The questions they will discuss on the banks of the Elbe River will include the full range of current digital trends:
The designers and visionaries of this year’s visiondays in Hamburg will devote themselves to these and many other questions.
On the first conference day, prominent speakers from a wide variety of industries and sectors will provide digitalization insights. For example, how is the digitalization of German soccer progressing? Dr. Frank Biendara, Managing Director of the Deutscher Fußball Bund (DFB), will give participants a look behind the scenes in his opening address.
Peter Andreas Döring, IT Division Director of bonprix Handelsgesellschaft, will highlight necessary changes in customer and IT management in his keynote speech “Agile action”.
What’s the story with digital products in the publishing world? In their talk, Karsten Reichel, Head of Digital Distribution Systems, and Hajo Weinschenk, Deputy Director DVS, both at Gruner + Jahr, will explain the product worlds of classic print brands and present flexible master data management with PimCore, which can smooth the path to the digital transformation.
In his keynote address “Thoughts of a poker player,” Jan Heitmann will offer another perspective. From his many years’ experience as a professional poker player, he knows how hard it is to make decisions when life is uncertain and to weigh risks. According to Jan Heitmann, poker is a “microcosm for optimal decision-making.” Therefore, it’s no wonder that companies can learn a lot from this poker player and profit from his insights and strategies.
What exactly is the Darknet? Have you already heard about the Deep Web? Christian Frei is very well-acquainted with both. He is the Director of the usd HeroLabs, the technology and research center of usd AG, where security experts including security analysts, forensic technicians, and developers focus on pentests, code reviews, digital forensics, security scans, and bug bounty services.
In his series of lectures at this year’s visiondays, Christian Frei will take an excursion into the ominous terrain of the Darknet and Deep Web. Starting with the question “how do you get onto the Darknet?” he will touch on topics including anonymization, the hidden Wiki and “commercial” shops, and thus raise awareness of possible security gaps and challenges relating to all aspects of companies’ digital security.
The second event day will offer participants the opportunity to obtain valuable tips in hands-on workshops. Selected experts will explain all kinds of questions relating to digitalization processes at companies and present custom solutions and specific products.
Prof. Dr. Michael Schulz of the NORDAKADEMIE and Daniel Badura, Senior Consultant at valantic Business Analytics, will present a standard procedural model for data science projects, for example. This procedural model has been developed in the last few months by a group of experts from different companies and universities in order to help give data science projects more structure and incorporate all interest groups into them.
In their workshop “A future-oriented road map for the transformation of your finance functions,” Rüdiger Hofmann, Managing Director, and Sebastian Rübbelke, Senior Manager of LINKIT Consulting, will help with the development of strategic multi-year road maps for finance and IT functions with the ERP software SAP S/4HANA. The goal here is both automation and the creation of intelligent processes. The six workshops offered reflect a wide range of digitalization topics, so that there will be something for everyone.
visiondays 2020 will take place in the heart of St. Pauli, in the Empire Riverside Hotel in Hamburg. The conference day on March 25 will begin at 8:30 AM. The second conference day will start at 10:00 AM and end around 5:30 PM.
