Although Šiauliai can claim to be the biggest city in Northern Lithuania, it’s quite compact, laidback and cozy. Proudly known as the country’s bicycle capital, it’s home to the largest bike factory in Lithuania and a unique bicycle museum.
Micro-mobility was a thing in Šiauliai before it became a fad in many other parts of Europe. How else do you explain that the city has the third oldest pedestrian boulevard on the continent?
