Uli Müller, Managing Director, Division SAP Services

“To be a trusted Partner delivering premium quality to our customers.”

What are your responsibilities at valantic?

In short: As Head of SAP Delivery, I ensure that we continuously optimize our project methodology and the delivery organization at valantic. Always with the aim of implementing customer projects of the highest possible quality, using state-of-the-art tools and methodologies. Besides customer projects, I take care of integrating our international teams into our delivery model, as well as guaranteeing a smooth transition from the sales process to delivery.

What is so special about your role at valantic?

Building up the right teams and balancing skills are essential to be perceived as the trusted advisor recognized for high quality.

It is equally important to have optimized staffing procedures in place across the entire valantic SAP Services Division. This covers 800-plus people and requires optimal organization of our international talent hubs.

Seeing so many people working together makes me really happy and gives me the feeling of a “valantic family” in which I want to play an active role as a Partner.

How do you combine work and life?

I really enjoy spending time with my family. I have been married for 25 years and have two grown-up children. Spending time together – especially on vacation – is the most valuable time for me. We really love Italy, but are also fans of beaches and palms the world over. Venice and New York are my favorite cities – not so great to live in, but certainly to visit regularly for a short trip.  Besides traveling, it is important to me to do sports on a regular basis. I enjoy bodyweight training as well as jogging. This is where I can chill out and put the stress of my work day behind me.

Uli, what did you do before joining valantic?

I studied Industrial Engineering at the University of Kaiserslautern, then worked at two medium-sized consultancies, and finally decided to become self-employed. After some years as a freelancer, I was determined to no longer work as a “one-man show”. In 2008, I therefore decided to join forces with Rüdiger Hoffmann and Guido Czampiel to found LINKIT Consulting GmbH, now part of valantic. I have been working for valantic for four years now and am grateful for the personal and professional development opportunities valantic has opened for me. I think the way we work together is truly unique in the market.
