In valantic Financial Services Automation, you are responsible for QA for our applications in the electronic trading area. In the exciting environment of electronic trading of stocks, currencies, derivatives and many others, we offer our customers (banks, brokers, fintechs) tailor-made system solutions and platforms.

As a Software Quality Engineer, you work within a development team, support the product lifecycle and projects and are therefore responsible for the operation, maintenance and continuous expansion of a test environment for our software solutions for financial service providers.
The products being developed in Frankfurt essentially consist of a trading platform for stocks and derivatives, which are primarily used by banks, stock brokers and stock exchanges.
In collaboration with the developers, product managers and professional service teams, you independently design test strategies and test cases and carry out the quality tests independently. The subsequent error analysis takes place in close collaboration with the developers
- Carrying out functional (including content-related) and non-functional tests of the software or individual software modules
- Expansion and maintenance of a test environment as well as automation of the tests
- Creation of test plans based on the functional and technical specifications within projects
- Coordination with the developer and project teams
What distinguishes you
MUST HAVE:
- IT specialist in system integration, bachelor's, master's or diploma in IT, mathematics, physics or comparable professional experience in the IT sector, also as a career changer or career starter
- Several years of experience in the area of software testing / QA
- Good to very good operating system knowledge, usually Linux and Windows as well as common standard software
- Basic network knowledge (TCP/IP, routers, firewalls)
- Independent, structured and careful way of working, solution-oriented combined with very good communication skills
- A strong team spirit as well as creativity and persistence in bug hunting
- Enjoyment of learning, flexibility and resilience
- Fluent in German and good written and spoken English skills
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience with software in the banking environment
- Database knowledge (MariaDB, MySQL)
- Programming knowledge (e.g. bash, Python, Java, C++, ...)
- other languages in our international environment are very welcome
