- You will take ownership of features throughout their full lifecycle, including technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- You will translate functional and technical requirements into maintainable, secure, and production-ready software solutions.
- You will integrate applications with data platforms, AI services, external systems, and enterprise environments.
- You will actively contribute to architectural decisions, code reviews, engineering standards, and reusable software components.
- You will collaborate closely with colleagues from Software, Cloud, Data, and AI Engineering as well as Consulting.
- You will lead technical workstreams, mentor less-experienced colleagues, and help continuously improve our software engineering practices.

What distinguishes you
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of professional experience as a software engineer
- Strong Java and Spring Boot experience in production
- End‑to‑end development: frontend, backend, APIs, databases, integrations, cloud
- Good knowledge of REST APIs, microservices and distributed systems
- Experience with modern web frontend frameworks
- Experience with message‑driven architectures (e.g. Kafka)
- Strong experience with relational and NoSQL databases
- Solid understanding of security (auth, authz), validation and error handling
- Experience with automated testing (unit, integration, API, e2e)
- Familiar with clean code, SOLID and design patterns
- Experience with code reviews and Git‑based workflows
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)
- Hands‑on with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience deploying and operating applications in the cloud
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and agile development practices
- Experience with monitoring/observability tools (e.g. Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana)
- Terraform, serverless and managed cloud services are a plus
- Experience integrating applications with data/analytics, ML or AI services is a plus
- Exposure to LLM services, RAG or frameworks like Spring AI / LangChain is a plus
- Uses AI‑assisted coding tools regularly
- Fluent in English; German is a plus
- Strong team player with good intercultural communication skills
