valantic FSA is looking to hire a Head of Sales who has in-depth experience of working within the electronic trading eco-system including trading systems, post-trade, end-users and markets. Strong exposure to the Fixed Income dealer to dealer and dealer to customer markets is required.
valantic FSA has successfully digitized workflows for over 100 firms in Capital Markets. We build robust and highly innovative systems for Trading Automation, Workflow Management and downstream Transaction Automation. Our mission is to digitize, augment and evolve the value streams within our clients.
- Oversee valantic FSA’s expansion into North America (in collaboration with Sales Europe and the Head of Capital Markets), leveraging existing contact book and network
- Ownership of valantic FSA’s North American sales pipeline including assisting in setting the strategy, and, growing North America into a key revenue generating regions at valantic FSA
- Partner with the product teams to identify, solution and close new business globally
- Provide input into the product roadmap and help drive global product expansion strategies
- Align and work closely with valantic FSA’s strategic partners to build the pipeline and execute on the overall strategy
- Oversee the pre-sales process, executing demos and acting as a subject matter expert in client meetings
- Have a clear understanding of the marketplace and competitive landscape, providing insights and updates to address gaps in the valantic FSA product line, continually pushing the product ahead of the competition
- Having achieved initial goals, attract and recruit top sales talent, motivate the team, delegate effectively and manage performance
- Regularly engage North American clients (with assistance from product management) on new features and functionality, ensuring communications are correctly captured, shared and executed upon
What distinguishes you
- A minimum of 7 years’ experience working in senior sales roles, preferably at a vendor or market / MTF with broad experience of enterprise software sales
- A minimum of 10 years exposure to the front office and end-users of Fixed Income eTrading solutions including demoing solutions to existing clients and prospects
- Engagement to a CTO / CEO / Head of Desk / Head of Business / Head of Technology level
- A proven sales background in Fixed Income with experience working at a vendor or market / MTF in the space and an extensive contact list
- Excellent business and technical knowledge of Sell Side fixed income electronic trading, D2D and D2C markets, and workflows across repo, rates, credit, and swaps
- A desire to widen domain knowledge into other areas and asset classes e.g. Post-trade automation, and potentially Equities, FX.
- Ability to engage credibly and with gravitas at a senior level with our clients and prospects
- Ability to assimilate new information quickly and stay abreast of market eco-system evolution
- Strong collaborative nature with the ability to work with local and remote teams in multiple geographies
