Munich, March 1, 2019: More than 200 participants in the valantic visiondays on February 20-21, 2019 in Munich were able to gain deep insights into the potential and practice of the digital transformation. As a digital solutions, consulting, and software company that focuses on digitalization, as host, valantic, together with speakers from Blanc und Fischer, BMW, Hakluyt Cyber, Rittal, Robert Bosch Automotive Steering, ROCHE, RWE, SEW-EURODRIVE, SFS, Siemens Postal, Parcel & Airport Logistics, and others provided information about successful transformation strategies and digitalization projects. valantic visiondays again proved itself to be a leading networking platform for designers of the digital transformation: In the lectures, specialized forums, discussions, and in personal conversations in the halls of the Haus der Bayerischen Wirtschaft in Munich, the focus was on the exchange of practical experiences.

In the plenary session of the valantic visiondays 2019, Bernd Muster (Deputy Vice President Digital Strategy, BMW Group) and Johann Soder (Managing Director Operative Business, SEW-EURODRIVE GmbH & Co KG) informed their audience about progress in digitalization. In his opening speech, Bernd Muster provided his listeners with deep insights into which strategies transformed BMW from a vehicle manufacturer into a provider of integrated mobility solutions and which challenges had to be overcome in the process. In his emotional speech, Johann Soder described how SEW-EURODRIVE first revolutionized its own transmission assembly with smart technologies and then established from this an entirely new field of business with logistics and process solutions for other companies. In Oliver Paasch, Minister President of the Belgian German-Speaking Community, visitors to valantic visiondays experienced an extremely approachable and entertaining politician with a lot of detailed knowledge of digitalization. Together with his IT manager, he presented as an example of transparency in administration a web solution with which the citizens of his small country can view nearly every detail of the budget including all money collected and spent. Jeremy Wood, Senior Consultant, Hakluyt Cyber, addressed the topic of IT security and sketched the current threat situation for companies due to state or privately organized cyberattacks. In a whole series of specialized forums, special topics and digitalization projects in the areas of SCM & Logistics, Business Analytics, SAP ERP, IT strategy, collaboration solutions, and customer engagement were presented.

“I am pleased that with the valantic visiondays 2019, we were once again able to offer our guests a completely successful network event on the highest professional level. Anyone who wants to design the digital transformation at a company can find here not just a thematically varied forum for collecting information about strategies and practical experiences, but also a platform for networking with digitalization experts at other companies. With the visiondays 2020 in Hamburg, we want to build on this year’s success,” according to host Martin Hofer, Partner at valantic.
