Markus Hartmann (born 1959) is the CEO and co-founder of SyroCon AG – a valantic company. Prior to that, he worked at Tieto (formerly TietoEnator) where, from 2006, he was responsible for operational business in the area of mobile and fixed network operators Germany-wide. This was preceded by more than eight years as head of the Frankfurt/Rhine-Main office at S.E.S.A. AG (which was acquired by TietoEnator in 2004). In this position, Markus Hartmann worked as an IT consultant for the telecommunications and automotive sectors and key to setting up the regional office. Before that, his work at S.E.S.A. AG took him to Berlin where he worked for more than two years as a project manager. Here, too, he accompanied the establishment of a branch office. Markus Hartmann’s first career step was at CapGemini, where he worked as a developer and later as a project manager in Paris, among other places. The accomplished hobby photographer began his IT career with studies in Measurement & Control Technology at the Technical University of Darmstadt near Frankfurt am Main.
